Information about your ESOL course placement text - please read
There are many ESOL classes in Bedford. Bedford ESOL Advice Service works with course providers to help you find an ESOL class. If you would like to join an ESOL class, you need to do an assessment and provide some personal information so that we can find the right class for you.
The ESOL assessment consists of FOUR parts:
Part 1 - Self assessment of your speaking and listening, reading, writing and IT skills. You can complete this part on the online form and ask a friend or a family member to help you choose the answer.
Part 2 - Your reading and writing assessment. You must complete this part without anyone's help. Your answers will tell us what you need to learn and which level you should be working at.
Part 3 - Your personal details. Please provide your full name and contact details so that we can get in touch with you. We also need to know some personal information about you. You can ask a friend or a family member to help you complete this part of the form.
Part 4 - An ESOL teacher will phone you in the next 10 days to ask you a few questions about your life in the UK and in your country. This will be your speaking and listening assessment. The teacher will also tell you about the ESOL level you should be studying at and which course we can offer you.
